Q: Where can I buy Beer Tent tickets? 

The Beer Tent (Róisín Dubh pub) handles booking themselves. Keep up-to-date with them on Facebook & Instagram @galwaychristmasbeertent. When tickets are on sale find them on https://roisindubh.net/

NOTE: it is not necessary to buy a ticket to get into the Beer Tent, the tickets are for reserved seating. 

Q: What buses go to the Galway Christmas Market?

The market is in Eyre Square, so all city buses (i.e. 401,402, etc…) stop here.

The Galway bus and train station is located beside Eyre Square and the City Link bus stop is a 2-minute walk away. 

Q: Is there a special opening event/ceremony? 

The Christmas Market Galway operates a soft opening. The whole market will be open by 6 p.m. on opening night.

Q: How do I book a Santa Visit?

It is highly advised to pre-book in order to avoid disappointment. We will try our best to accommodate walk-ins but slots fill up very quickly.

 

Q: Do I need tickets to enter the market? 

No – Christmas Market Galway is 90% open-air- with the exception of the Beer Tent & Santa Cabin.

Q: Can I bring my dog? 

Yes, of course. As we mentioned before, the market is 90% open-air. 

Q: What are the 2023 dates? 

The Market will run from Friday, November 10th to December 22nd – and as a special post-Christmas gift – a portion of the market, including the View Wheel, the Carousel, the Galway Christmas Beer Tent and some traders will remain open in Eyre Square on Dec 23rd through to January 7th for the first time! 

Q: What are the opening hours? 

Monday to Wednesday: 12 midday to 8pm

Thursday to Saturday: 10am until 10pm

Sunday: 10am – 8pm

Bar until 10pm every day!

Q: If I am coming on December 22nd, will the whole market be open? 

The market will be opened until 10 pm but some traders have long distances to travel home to so they may leave early. 

Q:  Can I book The View Wheel? 

It is not necessary to book The View Wheel however they do offer VIP packages. Visit there social media for more information. 

Q: Is the Galway Christmas Market wheelchair friendly? 

Yes – there are step free ramps around the market, an accessible toilet and an accessible parking bay located on Eyre Square North (beside the Big Wheel) access via Eyre Street.
